Job Summary
The Compliance Specialist II in Retirement Plan Services has the responsibility of managing internal and external client administration support. This role assumes expert knowledge in Qualified Retirement Plan administration. The primary responsibility is to review &/or coordinate administration services relating to qualified plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
A Compliance Specialist can expect to focus their work in the following areas:
• Provide expertise in interpreting plan documents and provide plan design recommendations.
• Monitor client year end reporting and review data for completeness and accuracy.
• Execute CRM plan tasks relating to servicing qualified retirement plans. This typically includes follow up items from client    meetings, possible contribution projections, etc.
• Complete or review contribution forecasting as requested by Advisor Support Center.
• Review, approve and release distributions and loans for processing per procedure.
• Manage the process of plan document restatements, amendments, and notices as required or requested.
• Review Government reporting including 5500s, and supporting schedules as needed.
• Provide peer review of documents and materials completed by other Compliance Administration Center associates.
• Develop and maintain compliance administration process and procedures.
• Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Compliance Specialist II position typically requires the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university
• ASPPA designation(s) preferred.
• 5 - 7 years experience in qualified plan administration & consulting with demonstrated ability to provide technical support and consulting to advisors and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as record keeping, plan document and 5500 software.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Client first attitude.
• A team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others.
