Job Summary

The Financial Advisor II is the primary manager of the client relationships and provides support to senior advisors. The position has responsibility for initiating new business and managing existing client relationships and formulating and implementing advice, and may rely on technical specialists to develop recommendations within a given area of expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities

A Financial Advisor II can expect to focus their work in the following areas:

  • Convert $7.5-12.5 MM investment assets, from multiple existing and/or prior client relationships, or new prospects to Savant, at typical Savant fee schedule
  • Work independently and with Savant partners to convert appropriate existing relationships to Savant's management
  • Pursue current in process leads and former relationships that you no longer work with at current employer
    • Participate in new client relationship development, including management of current client contact and communications
    • Participate in partner/advisory planning meetings regarding new prospects/new clients
    • Coordinate follow-up workflow on new clients
    • Become a liaison to Planning Team for clients
    • Serve clients in a co-advisory capacity
      • Assume co-advisory relationship with a limited number of existing clients
      • Assist partners in providing service to existing clients where appropriate (i.e. existing Savant clients with whom you have a relationship)
      • Take lead regarding routine and follow-up contact and providing service to such clients

Qualifications

The Financial Advisor II position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in investment management and/or Financial Advisor services with demonstrated ability to develop and manage plans and manage client relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; CFP designation (preferred); MBA (ideal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as financial planning and securities balancing software
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment and experience
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Client first attitude
  • A team player, with strong coaching and leadership skills
